ORIGINAL POST: The Planning & Zoning Board, made up of seven city resident volunteers, will host their second special meeting to discuss amending the city’s Land Development Regulations related to Planned Unit Developments, PUDs for short, on Monday, Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. in the James W. Hathaway Chambers at 214 Sams Ave. The first meeting was held on July 18 and is available for replay here.
Discussion will primarily focus on:
- Goals set by city commissioners in 2020 to proactively manage growth west of I-95, promote a culture of environmental sustainability, and advocate for pedestrian enhancements to state and county roads
- Additional requests from city commissioners to address traffic calming, parks, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, and residential lot sizes
- American Planning Association best practices for design review, setback compatibility, green infrastructure, and flood management
