SYNOPSIS: Found Property – 2490 Sunset Drive (Rocco Park).  A city worker located a handgun in the bathroom while cleaning it.  The officer was unable to determine ownership and it was placed into evidence at the police department for safekeeping.

SYNOPSIS: City Ordinance Violation – 1715 Palmetto Court.  While investigating a parking complaint, officers observed a vehicle parked on city right-of-way with an expired tag.  A Ten Day Notice was placed on the vehicle for follow-up.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 1200 S. Myrtle Avenue (New Smyrna Middle School).  The school received information in reference to a student having a weapon on campus.  After further investigation it was found the students reporting the incident lied.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS: Suspicious Incident – 557 Ronnoc Lane (Chisholm Elementary School).  The reporting person advised a known student threatened her child while at school.  After further investigation it was determined no crime was ever committed.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Theft – 2918 Hardy Avenue.  The victim advised that sometime last week an unknown person stole several items from his residence.  The victim was able to provide a possible suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 805 E. 10th Avenue.  The reporting person advised that an unknown person has been opening up several credit accounts under her name, and having unusual items sent to her.  At this time all crimes have occurred online.  She was able to provide suspect information, and a report was taken for documentation.
