SYNOPSIS:   Traffic Crash – S.R.44/I-95.  Single vehicle, moderate damage, minor injuries, and no citations issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 3155 S.R. 44 (Walmart).  The reporting person found a cell phone in the parking lot of the business.   Officers were able to locate the owner and the phone was returned.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 429 3rd Avenue.  The reporting person found a small tin containing illegal drugs in the parking lot.  The officer placed the items into evidence at the police department for destruction.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Fraud – 1100 N. Dixie Freeway #6.  The victim advised that a known female used her credit card to purchase airline tickets without her consent.  The victim does not wish to pursue charges and report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Information Report – 809 E 10th Avenue.  The reporting person advised that an unknown person has been cashing checks that were mailed to him.  At this time it is unknown where the crime actually occurred.  Report taken for documentation until a location can be determined.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 246 Industrial Park Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Police Department).  The reporting person advised that he found a savings bond inside a book he purchased.  Officers were unable to locate the owner, and it was placed into evidence at the police department for safekeeping.

SYNOPSIS:  Misdemeanor Arrest – 737 Sugar Mill Drive.  A 30 year old male, Matthew Mecke, was placed under arrest for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on the roadway.  He was transported to the jail without incident.
