TIME OCCURRED:  1853

SYNOPSIS:  Hit and Run Traffic Crash – 605 Art Center Avenue. An unknown vehicle hit a mailbox at the location and fled the scene without leaving any information.

TIME OCCURRED: 1949

SYNOPSIS:  Shoplifting – 3155 SR44 (Walmart).  A white male attempted to steal several items from the store.  When he was confronted by the Loss Prevention Officer, the male dropped the items and fled the scene.  The items were recovered and the Loss Prevention Officer does not want to press charges but wanted this incident documented.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – Canal Street/North Dixie Freeway.  Minor crash between two (2) vehicles with no injuries.  No citation was issued.

SYNOPSIS: Trespasser – 1401 South Dixie Freeway (AMC Theatre). A male refused to leave the theatre after being told by the manager to leave.  He was arrested for Trespass after Warning and Resisting without Violence and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

SYNOPSIS: Narcotics – 160 North Causeway (Boat Ramp). A male was located in the male restroom with drug paraphernalia on his person after giving permission to search his person.  He was issued a Notice to Appear and released from the scene.

TIME OCCURRED: 1748

SYNOPSIS:  Agency Assist – 1200 South Myrtle Avenue (NSB Middle School). A juvenile male made a comment that was overheard by other students that he was going to commit a shooting at the school on 12/17/2019 or 12/18/2019.  The juvenile was arrested by the Volusia County Sheriff Office for making the comment.

SYNOPSIS: Juvenile Complaint – 545 Greenlawn Street. A juvenile was refusing to go home. Offices made contact and persuaded the juvenile to return home.  The Department of Children and Families was notified for further services.

SYNOPSIS: Assault/Battery- 2801 Saxon Drive.  A mother and her adult son got into a verbal argument that turned physical.  The mother was found to be the primary aggressor and arrested for Battery (Domestic Violence).
