SYNOPSIS:   Dead Person (Suspicious) – 200 Robert Street.  Male was located in his apartment deceased from unnatural causes. At this time it appears to be an apparent suicide, but investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 105 S. Riverside Drive (Brannon Center).  The reporting person located a bag filled with unusual items on the dock behind the business.  At this time it is unknown how the bag got there. Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 170 N. Causeway (New Smyrna Boat Ramp).  The reporting person located a credit card in the parking lot.  The officer was unable to locate the owner and it was placed into evidence at the police department for safekeeping.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – S. Atlantic Avenue/E. 7th Avenue.  Two vehicles, minor damage, minor injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Illegal Parking – 400 Block of Esther Street.  A vehicle was observed parked in the middle of the street, causing a traffic hazard and blocking the road.  Officers were unable to locate the owner and had it removed by rotation wrecker.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:   Hit and Run Traffic Crash – N Causeway/Riverside Drive. A pickup truck rear ended a vehicle at a red light, causing that vehicle to strike the vehicle in front of it.  The second vehicle struck also struck the vehicle in front of it.  The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Misdemeanor Arrest – DUI and DUI Property Damage – State Road 44/Colony Park Road.  Joan Fairchild, 56 yoa was involved in a traffic crash and found to be driving under the influence.  She was arrested and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail. Bond $2000

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Stop – Palmetto Street/Lytle Avenue. Male was issued a criminal traffic citation for Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver License.  The vehicle was towed by Edgewater Towing via the tow rotation list.  A report was completed for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Misdemeanor Arrest (Domestic Battery) – Mission Drive/State Road 44, James Sheridan 59 yoa was taken into custody for Domestic Battery. He was later transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail. Bond $1000
