Overview
The Board is composed of five members who must be residents of the City. In accordance with Florida Statutes, at least one member must be a resident who is current in rent in a housing project or a person of low or very low income and who receives a rent subsidy through a program administered by the authority or public housing agency that has jurisdiction for the same locality served by the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority members serve four-year terms.
Responsibilities
The Housing Authority prepares, carries out, acquires, leases, and operates housing projects to ensure safe and sanitary living accommodations for persons of low income.
